This workshop is introduced as a cerebral nutrition class designed to explore the gut-brain connection and the impact of food on brain function. Recent research shows that feeding our children with good nutritious food can aid their brain’s development by creating more new synaptic connections when they are learning at school and in our home environments.
This workshop is designed to empower Children and Parents by teaching them about the power of nutrition in enhancing brain function
Adolescence is an important period of both rapid brain development and remodeling for our thinking & processing. This is when development can be enhanced and protected (or even damaged) from environmental hazards also from unhealthy diets. Wrong decisions can lead to long-term consequences.
The biological processes occur in the brain during the developmental stages and they are highly sensitive to the environment. This sensitivity can make the brain more vulnerable to external insults and influences during this period of growth.
We will also be exploring the gut-brain connection and how food affects brain fog, memory and focus
